Q&A:
1. Between London and New York, which city truly feels like home now and why?
That question is very hard to answer as both cities bring so much to my life. I love London and the English countryside in the fall, and spring in NYC.
2. What is your favorite go-to spot in New York?
Hands down, Donohue’s—it’s a really old bar and restaurant. My friends and I sit in a booth and gossip. I also love Nami Nori in the West Village. It’s generally the first place I go if I haven’t been in NYC for a while.
3. Who are your style icons?
I have so many! Kate Moss is definitely up there—I love the way she mixes vintage with modern pieces. She has one wardrobe I would love to own. I also love Rihanna’s wardrobe; she has such a fearless approach to fashion.
4. What's the item in your wardrobe that you love the most?
A dinner jacket I’ve had for years—it’s always a go-to and never goes out of style. Also, my Celine sweaters. I thought I was mad spending that amount on them, but they still look like new.
5. When thinking about BLAZÉ Milano, what are the items that best fit your style?
I love the tweed jackets—they’re my go-to. And I love the Victorian blouse.
6. When it comes to personal style, what's the worst faux pas?
Dare I say it? But I can’t get my head around Crocs.
7. Out of all your achievements, which one are you the most proud of?
My shoe company before COVID and working with Dolce & Gabbana on Alta Moda from the start, watching it grow every season.
8. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Listen more. You don’t learn while you are talking, and I was always—and still am—talking.
9. Finally, what's your current bedside reading?
The Lessons of History by Will and Ariel Durant.
